Textured Cardigans in Woolspun®: Two New Designs to Knit or Crochet from our Fall/Winter Style Guide

These textured cardigans, available in both knit and crochet variations exclusively as kits in our new Fall/Winter Style Guide, make for great loose layering pieces! You can wear these versatile cardigans open as shown, or use your favorite shawl pin to keep the front bands closed.

We love the rich texture of the stitch patterns, which work up so crisply in Lion’s Pride® Woolspun® – such great stitch definition! Check out the knit version and the crochet version.

Several of us at Lion Brand tried on these gorgeous cardigans, and were pleasantly surprised by how lightweight they feel for being worked in a bulky yarn. Woolspun® is a fan favorite, and for good reason. Its 12-ply construction makes for garments that drape beautifully. Plus the wool-blend yarn is machine washable and dryable, and it’s outrageously soft.

For both knit and crochet versions, the sleeveless cardigan is worked in pieces (the back and two fronts), with shoulder shaping integrated into the pattern. This shaping helps the garment hang nicely from the shoulders. After seaming the shoulders and sides, the armhole and front bands are worked from stitches picked up on the cardigan.

The crochet cardigan is available in Oxford Grey, a heathered medium grey. This sophisticated neutral matches with just about everything!
